Deep Dive Book Group @ William Hall
This month the Deep Dive Book Group will read and discuss "The Buried Giant" by Kazuo Ishiguro.
If the mythical past of King Arthur were reimagined, what kinds of things might occur? Discover the plight of elderly couple Axl and Beatrice as they set off to find the son they believe they've lost, as they find adventure and misadventure along the way, with a variety of real and fanciful characters joining them en route.
Why did we choose Kazuo Ishiguro to read in-depth? Ishiguro has won many presigious literary prizes, including The Booker Prize (1989) for The Remains of the Day and the Nobel Prize in Literature (2017) for his body of work. As a Japanese-born British writer, he brings a unique perspective to his work.

The Deep Dive Book Group reads three works by a particular author, one title per month for three months in a row, for a closer look at what makes this author so appealing. Titles will include a mix of classic or contemporary fiction and nonfiction. Participating patrons will have an opportunity to add their favorite authors into the mix.
