Deep Dive Book Group @ William Hall

Deep Dive Book Group @ William Hall

This month the Deep Dive Book Group will read and discuss "The Nickel Boys" by Colson Whitehead.

In 1960s Florida, a reform school is the setting for an examination of racism and brutality suffered by young men at the hands of the white men in charge. What fate awaits the studious Elwood and his best friend, the street-smart Turner? Based on a true story.

Free and open to the public. Space is limited so registration is encouraged. To register click the button below or contact the library for assistance. Copies of the book will be available to pick up at the William Hall Circulation Desk.

Visit cranstonlibrary.org/book-groups to learn about other CPL book groups.

The Deep Dive Book Group reads three works by a particular author, one title per month for three months in a row, for a closer look at what makes this author so appealing. Titles will include a mix of classic or contemporary fiction and nonfiction. Participating patrons will have an opportunity to add their favorite authors into the mix.
