This month the Hidden in the Stacks Book Group will read and discuss This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger.

During the Great Depression, four orphans are forced to flee the scene of a crime and make their way downriver hoping to find safe haven in St. Louis. What role did the orphanage play in separating some of the children from their Native American families and culture?
