DESCRIPTION:Part 1 of 3-part Brain Health Series\nPart 2 | Part 3\n\nNearly 
 two-thirds of people living with Alzheimer’s Disease are women.  
 Researchers want to know what it is that makes females more likely to 
 develop this form of dementia.  We’ll explore this topic\, as well as the 
 Alzheimer’s risks that are specific to women and steps to take to lower 
 dementia risk.\n\nObjectives\n\n\n	Explain that women have a higher risk of 
 developing Alzheimer’s Disease\n	Describe Alzheimer’s risks specific to 
 women\n	Discuss steps that can be taken to reduce this risk\n\n\nFree and

 the library for assistance.\n\n\nTerry Fogerty\, BS\, Research Community 
 Outreach Coordinator\, is responsible for community relations\, education\, 
 and recruitment for the Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Disorders Center 
 at Rhode Island Hospital.  She is a member of the Governor’s 
 Alzheimer’s Advisory Committee.  Terry has been working with 
 Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) clinical trials teams to advance new treatments 
 and prevention measures for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias for 
 the past 8 years and is dedicated to spreading the message of hope through 
 research for those living with and at risk for Alzheimer’s disease.
