Wild Mushroom Hunting in Southern New England: Fall Season
The Mushroom Hunting Foundation is based right here in Rhode Island! With an amazing slideshow of all-local photography, Ryan and Emily will explain the science and safety rules of mushroom hunting. They will introduce you to many of the astonishingly diverse and colorful fungi found in the woods here, and explain in depth about certain species that are "safe for beginners" to identify and cook with.
Ryan Bouchard and Emily Schmidt created The Mushroom Hunting Foundation. Ryan wrote and photographed Gourmet Mushrooms of the Northeast (2019). Together they have taught thousands of people how to safely enjoy America's incredible wild mushrooms.
