ONLINE PROGRAM: The British Invasion - Rock's Greatest Era?

Join award-winning author and pop culture historian Martin Gitlin for a virtual presentation that depicts what many music historians consider the finest period in rock-and-roll history, from the birth of the British Invasion through the response of wonderful American bands.

Videos of live performances by the Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Mamas and Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, Kinks, and many more will be interwoven with trivia questions, commentary, and pop culture highlights.

Author and pop culture historian Martin Gitlin has won more than 45 awards as a sports journalist, including first place for general excellence from Associated Press. He covered the Red Sox extensively during his career. His books have been featured in the New York Times, Time Magazine, Reader's Digest, Wall Street Journal, and other national periodicals, and his title The Great American Cereal Book reached No. 1 on Amazon.com in both the 'Americana' and 'Breakfast Book' categories.
