Grandparent Workshop: Parenting Then and Now @ Central

Grandparent Workshop: Parenting Then and Now @ Central

Today’s parenting approaches can feel confusing, even for loving, experienced grandparents who want to help but aren’t always sure what’s “allowed” anymore. In this session, parent coach Karen Welser offers a warm, judgment-free look at how discipline, communication, and child development practices have evolved, and why. We’ll explore what has changed (screens, consequences, stressors, emotional language) and what never will (love, trust, and connection).

Designed especially for today’s actively involved grandparents, this workshop will help you feel more confident, respected, and aligned with the parent generation, so you can continue to play a meaningful role in your grandchildren’s lives.

Free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but those who register at least three days prior to the event will receive an email reminder. Register below or contact the library for assistance.
