Cranston Arts Commission Youth Fashion Workshops

The Cranston Arts Commission is hosting two youth (Ages 8-12) workshops at Central Library in conjunction with their exhibit, Clothing: Costume, Expression, Inspiration.

Fashion Design Workshop (Ages 8 - 12) Saturday, October 25 | 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. | Cranston Central Library

Led by Blue Door Art Studio Students will explore 2025 fashion trends, create a collaborative fashion theme board, and learn about design processes and influential designers. Each participant will sketch ideas for their own clothing line, create fashion illustrations, and build a three-dimensional mixed-media fashion figure. Fashion as Expression Youth Workshop (Ages 8–12) Saturday, October 25 | 12:30–2:00 p.m. | Cranston Central Library

Led by Cranston Arts Educator Mary Greim-Gallo. Young designers will explore how clothing reflects personality and creativity. Participants will create bold outfits for paper mannequins, expand into a full fashion line, and write short artist statements about their inspirations. This workshop requires registration through the Cranston Arts Commission: REGISTER HERE.
