Notable Works' Book Release Celebration @ William Hall

Join Cranston Public Library and Notable Works at this special event to celebrate the release of “Voices of the Earth: The Future of Our Planet IV: Building Innovative Bridges for Tomorrow,” a collection of original poetry and artwork inspired by the theme, “Bridging the Divide and Coming Together for a Common Goal.” The book also includes a listing of local environmental agencies in Rhode Island and the surrounding areas.

This event will feature a special presentation by Sara Sampieri Horvet, Stormwater Outreach and Engagement Program Manager (Audubon Society of Rhode Island).

Also featured will be a musical performance by The Notable Works’ Ensemble:
Maria Bilyeu, cello; Teresa Gervais, flute: Noreen Inglesi, composer and vocals; Beth Schapira, lead vocals; Alison Shea, piano and vocals; and special guest Mary Zema, composer, guitar, and vocals.

Featured poets who will be reading their work include Christopher Gaynor, Kate Hamilton, Theresa Hickey, Janet D. Johnson, Peg Paolino, and Sherri Stepakoff.

There will also be a poetry open mic (first come, first served). Open mic signup will be available at the event.

Free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but those who register at least three days prior to the event will receive an email reminder about the program. Register by clicking the button below or contact the library for assistance.
