Eating for Better Brain Health @ Central

Eating for Better Brain Health @ Central

Eating for Better Brain Health is a 2-week class led by Kathi Masi. The class meets Friday, November 8 and Friday, November 15.
Eating for brain health means choosing foods shown to protect the brain from cognitive decline. What are the healthiest brain foods? It’s a simple question with a not-so-easy answer. In this 2-part class, we will discuss brain-healthy foods & tips from the MIND diet. The MIND diet is a hybrid of the Mediterranean diet and the blood pressure lowering DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet.

We will provide ideas for easy recipes and each class will include a food demonstration of a simple delicious brain-healthy recipe. Food samples will be available.

Kathi Masi was here earlier this year for the Food is Medicine workshops. She has worked with Lifespan and Blue Cross Blue Shield of RI teaching healthy eating habits all around the state.

Space is limited. Please only register for this class if you are able to attend both sessions. This class is free and open to any interested adults.
