Michael Fine, M.D. has been an advocate for communities, healthcare reform, and the care of under-served populations worldwide for 40 years. Dr. Fine is a former Director of the Rhode Island Department of Health, former Medical Program Director at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, and founder and Managing Director of HealthAccessRI. He currently serves as the chief health strategist for the city of Central Falls, RI, and has published several fiction and nonfiction books, including his most recent collection, The Jewish Prince of Denmark and Other Stories.
