Author Betty Hann Presents "Funny Honey: A Gifted Dog" @ Central

Has a beloved dog ever changed your life? Learn how and why author Betty Hann was inspired to write "Funny Honey: A Gifted Dog." Betty will talk about the writing process, read an excerpt from her book, and answer questions. She will also sell and sign copies for $20.00 per book and can accept cash or check, just in time for holiday gift giving!

Elizabeth Hann
is currently retired after working at Rhode Island Hospital for 45 years where she held two positions. After graduating from St. Xavier Academy in Providence, she trained under a Federal Grant for Medical Technology at Rhode Island Hospital and then worked in the Department of Pathology for 30 years. As a certified and licensed cytogenetic technologist, she prepared and studied tissue samples for detailed chromosome analysis under a microscope. Later she went back to business school under a Lifespan grant and studied Computerized Software Management and Business Affairs. After graduating from this specialized training, she was hired back at Rhode Island Hospital. Her new occupation landed her a combined clinical and research position in the Department of Radiology where she worked for another 15 years. She is a lifelong resident of Rhode Island and presently lives in Warwick with her newest rescue dog.
