Steven R. Porter is the author of two novels: the critically acclaimed Southie crime-thriller Confessions of the Meek and the Valiant, and the award-winning historical novel Manisses inspired by the rich history of Block Island. He is also the co-author of Scared to Death… Do It Anyway, a guide for individuals who suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. He and his wife Dawn own Stillwater Books and the independent press, Stillwater River Publications, in Pawtucket, RI. He is founder and retired president of the  Association of Rhode Island Authors (ARIA).

Marilyn Wade, a.k.a. Mother Love,  decided to write Keep Pushing Forward because she got a second chance at life at the age of ten, and because the pandemic had taken many lives. Marilyn hopes the book will serve as a legacy for her family to let them know that she was young once upon a time. Marilyn prayed to God to allow her to finish the book for them, and hopes it will inspire others to never give up on their dreams, no matter what situations arrive. She likes to say, “If you still have a pulse, you still have a purpose.”
